Game rules in «International» draughts
The board 10õ10 grid is used.
Each player has 20 pieces in the starting position which occupy the first four rows from each side. A «men» piece can capture forwards and backward, the king can move and capture on any number of squares.
The game target — to «capture» or «lock» (to deprive of the possibility to move) all opponent’s pieces.
Game course
Pieces move on dark squares. They can occupy only free squares.
A «men» piece becomes a king when it ends its move on the kings row.
When a «men» piece capture over a kings row it doesn’t become a king and continues the capturing as a «men» piece.
If after the kings row a «men» piece can capture only as a king then it stays on the square of the kings row and can continue to capture as a king only from the following move.
It is possible to capture the opponent’s piece only once during one move (a rule of «Turkish strike»). According to this rule in case of the capture of several opponent’s pieces, a piece or the king repeatedly moves on already captured piece then the move is stopped.
In case of the several variants of the capturing possibility it is necessary to capture the maximum possible quantity of pieces.
