«All-in»

«All-in» - the player bets his whole stack (all game chips).

If a player bets All-in which is more than the previous bet but less than the minimum raise then the other players’ possibilities depend on whether this bet is considered to be All-in (raise) or call.

In the limited format

All-in is not considered to be a raise if the excess is less than 50% of needed and it is considered to be a raise if it is more than 50%.

For example: the Limit 10-20. The first player bets 10. The second player calls 10. And the third one bets All-in 14. The bet is not considered to be a raise. The first and second players have only one possibility – to call up to 14.

For example: the Limit 10-20. The first player bets 10. The second player bets All-in 14. The bet is not considered to be a raise. The third player has a possibility to call 14 or to bet up to the minimum raise 20. In a case of the raise the fourth and the following players have all possibilities provided by the game. In a case of a call (called 14) all following players have possibilities to raise except the first player. If nobody raised then the first player has only one possibility – to call up to 14 (or to pass).

For example: the Limit 10-20. The first player bets 10. The second player bets All-in 15. The bet is considered to be a raise. The third and the following players have a possibility to call 15 or to re-raise 25 (15+10). In this betting round cap will be equal to 35.

In pot-limit and no-limit formats

All-in is not considered to be a raise if the excess is less than 100% of needed and is considered to be a raise if the excess is 100% and more.

For example: blinds 10-20. The first player bets 20. The second player raises 60 (20+40). And the third bets All-in 90 (60+30). The bet is not considered to be a raise. The first player has a possibility to raise. And if he calls All-in then the second player doesn't have a possibility to raise.

If a player is on a big blind position bets All-in which is less than the big blind, the following player in order to continue the game, needs to bet the full sum of the big blind or to raise. The size of the minimum and maximum raise is calculated basing on the big blind size and not on the All-in bet size.
