Poker
The first mentions about Poker appeared in the European countries in XVI century. At that time game rules differed from modern. Gradually they varied and expanded. In a modern kind Poker was formed in USA in the beginning of the XIX-th century where it was brought during the colonization. Now Poker is one of the most popular games all over the world.
Now there are more than ten versions of club Poker. Despite a considerable quantity of games rules are similar enough.
Main game rules
Play an ordinary deck of cards (52 cards).
Cards ranking in increasing order: from 2 to A (in a combination "Street" the ace can be as the highest card – A, K, Q, J, T as the lowest card 5, 4, 3, 2, A).
All suits are of equal value.
The main objective of the game is to win the pot which consists of bets done during the betting, collecting the highest combination from 5 cards among all other players.
The game starts with a dealer. The dealer is marked by a sign «D» at the game table. The dealer moves clockwise from a player to a player.
At each cards deal the right of the first action passes clockwise from a player to a player.
The two first players bet «blindly» without seeing their own cards, equal to the half of a big blind and big blind. A player bet a big blind has the right of the last betting on the first game circle.
Some actions are accessible to any player on any betting round:
- fold - in this case a player doesn’t pretend to win a pot and doesn’t participate in the current deal, his cards go out of the game;
- bet – to place chips into the pot;
- call – to bet a number of chips equal to the highest bet (the same - to equal the big blind);
- raise – minimum size of the bet increase can’t be lower than the doubled first bet;
- re-raise – to raise a raise;;
- check – a player doesn’t do any actions (in case there was no bet before this player).
A player wins who demonstrates the highest combination or remains the last in the game when all other players folded.
