Rules of «FreeRoll» tournaments carrying out on «Heads up Belote»

«FreeRoll» tournament on «Heads up Belote» is held at the beforehand fixed time.

It is possible to register for the participation in a tournament within 30 minutes before the start of the tournament. All registered players play all rounds.

Players wishing to participate in a tournament come to a tournament hall within the registration time and press the Button «Register». (Tournament halls are located in a tab «Tournaments»).

The scheme of the tournament carrying out

  1. Quantity of players is up to 10 including – the circular tournament system.
  2. Quantity of players significantly exceeds 10 - the Swiss system.
  3. Quantity of players is more than 10 but close to 10 – the modified Swiss tournament system, quantity of rounds 9.
  4. Feature of the modified Swiss system – the possibility of play with the same opponent not more than two times for three rounds before the tournament end.

According to the results of play in a round, players get points according to the following system:

For a victory For a defeat
  With Mars   With Mars
+1 +1,5 -1 -1,5

Game conventions:

  • A single game,
  • 10 minutes,
  • All pass round – yes,
  • Mars – yes.

Positions definition

  1. For the position definition occupied by the player in a tournament the sum of the gained points is used. The player gained the biggest quantity of points occupies higher final position in the tournament.
  2. In case two and more players have an equal quantity of points the following indicators are applied to the position definition:

    2.1 According to the result of the face-to-face single game if it was during the tournament.
    2.2 The Buchholz coefficient of a certain player is a sum of all opponents’ points with whom the given player played regardless the game result between them. A player with higher Buchholz Coefficient will be awarded higher final place in a tournament.
    2.3 The Berger coefficient of a certain player is a sum of all opponents’ points against whom the given player won. A player with higher Berger Coefficient will be awarded higher final place in a tournament.

  3. If a player did not have an opponent in the current round then the victory is awarded to him with a result which is equal (plus) one point.
  4. A player refused to continue to participate in the tournament does not participate in the positions allocation and automatically «wins» last position among the remained participants regardless the quantity of the gained points.

Collusion

Players’ behaviour rules in all tournaments are regulated by Principles of fair play.

Refusal of participation in the course of a tournament

  1. Refusal of the further participation in a tournament can be done by pressing the button «Participation refusal».
  2. Players who finished a tournament ahead of schedule but didn’t press the button «Participation refusal» are denied the right to participate in tournaments for 14 days (2 weeks).
  3. A player refused to participate in a tournament «wins» a position in the end of a tournament table regardless the quantity of the gained points.

Emergency end of a tournament

  1. If 50% (or more) of the planned rounds are played then the prize pool allocation takes place according to the gained positions.
  2. If less than 50% of the planned rounds are played then the tournament is not considered to be held.

The «FP CLUB» administration keeps the right to make changes in the currant Regulations at any time. Changes come into force from the moment of publication.
